Last year, I participated in the Istanbul Marathon but was unable to run due to a foot injury. This year, I will be participating in it, healthy but out of training. Thank goodness for that.

We will do our utmost to ensure that food banking is conducted in the country in an impartial, transparent, honest, and sustainable manner, and to raise standards. Furthermore, we aim for our model, which uses products we save from waste to help those in need become self-sufficient, to be a model for everyone and to contribute to nationwide development.
A brief summary of our achievements with TİDER
Our past achievements are a guarantee of our future achievements. Having said that, I’d like to summarize our past achievements:
1. The Support Markets we opened in Maltepe and Bağcılar meet the basic needs of thousands of people in need, such as food, cleaning products, and clothing. So far, we’ve helped 82 people find jobs, and this number is rapidly growing.
2. Beyond the Support Markets we’ve opened, we’re expanding our operations across Türkiye. We’re present in seven provinces. In total, we support 15 NGOs, food banks, and soup kitchens.
3. In the last four months, we’ve saved 370 tons of produce from waste. We’ve reached 78,660 individuals, or 20,000 families.
4. We’ve been selected as the umbrella organization for food banking in Türkiye by the Global Foodbanking Network (GFN), the umbrella organization for all food banks worldwide.
5. Last year, we won the GFN’s innovation award for our Support HR model, and this year, we were honored with the World Food Day Award from the Ministry of Food and Forestry, FAO, and TÜGİS for our Support Cloud platform.
6. We’ve launched ‘NGO Solidarity.’ We’ve begun bilateral referrals to other NGOs on the Adım Adım Platform. In other words, we’re referring to those in need we support to the relevant NGOs. Similarly, other NGOs on the platform refer to the people they support to us to meet their basic needs.
7. We launched our micro-entrepreneurship program with Bebemoss. Women who hand-knit toys and dolls at home are rewarded for their efforts when these products are sold in Europe and America. For details, please visit their website: https://bebemoss.com/
Creating year-round support from small contributions
We achieved all this with your support. We want to expand this ideal model to Türkiye with your support. For every 265 TL donation you make, all the basic needs of a family will be met for a year, jobs will be found for the employed members of the family, and 256 kg of product will be saved from waste per family. Now, our mission is to spread this model, symbolized by TİDER, throughout Türkiye, hand in hand with civil society, the public, and the private sector…
