Süzer Holding had long been exploring hotel investment opportunities in the United States. This operation was personally overseen by my twin brother, Baran. These efforts, which mainly focused on New York and Miami, finally bore fruit last month.
According to the information I received from Baran, here’s how the hotel acquisition process unfolded and concluded:
The local architect of our Arte Residence project in Surfside, one of Miami’s prominent areas, Kobi Karp, and his son Jordan Karp, presented us with the project. The acquisition process took seven months, involving negotiations on the contract and persuading the other stakeholders. The deal was finalized and signed in late-January this year.
Now let me share more about this valuable property.
Miami’s New Hotspot
The Moxy Miami Wynwood Hotel opened in October of last year. A few months later, in December, two restaurants located within the same property—Sparrow Italia and Casa Madera—also opened their doors.

As Süzer Holding, we acquired 52% of the property (hotel and restaurants), along with management control. The remaining 48% is held by the project’s other partners, Developer Dolphin Capital and Crowdstreet.

Those in the hospitality sector will know that Moxy is a hotel chain owned by the Marriott Group, which became the world’s largest hotel chain after acquiring Sheraton Capital and its brands such as Sheraton, St. Regis, and W. Moxy targets a younger, more dynamic demographic, and its Miami hotel is right in the heart of Wynwood—Miami’s arts and fashion district—on 25th Street, just a five-minute drive from the city’s famous Design District.
World-Class Dining Experiences
The restaurants within the property also have their own compelling story. They are operated by Noble 33, a group known for its signature “fine dining” concepts (we have a management agreement with them). Casa Madera (Mexican cuisine) and Sparrow Italia (Italian cuisine) are located on the ground floor of the hotel. On the rooftop (8th floor), another Noble 33 venue, “Lounge Club Door 33,” is scheduled to open in the last week of April. The club will welcome guests through both memberships and external reservations.
The neighborhood surrounding the hotel and restaurants is developing rapidly. Every month, new concepts, trendy restaurants, and boutique shops are popping up in the area.
Information about the hotel was taken from its official website, which you can find at https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/miaon-moxy-miami-wynwood/overview/:
Sophisticated Experiences in Wynwood
Wynwood is Miami’s creative and cultural hub, full of eclectic restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, and museums. The area offers countless opportunities within walking distance, from entertainment to nightlife. Our new hotel is just one block from the world-famous open-air museum, Wynwood Walls. Located in one of Miami’s most vibrant districts, your Moxy experience begins with a complimentary cocktail at Bar Moxy during check-in. The bright, open lobby layout is paired with contemporary furnishings. ‘Plug-In and Meet’ social areas feature modern, ergonomic seating. The lobby also includes a state-of-the-art video wall and a 24/7 grab-and-go food and beverage zone. Other hotel amenities include a wholesome American breakfast and an evening bar offering wine and local craft beers. All guestrooms come equipped with 42-inch flat-screen TVs, in-room USB ports, and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Distinctive Dining Concepts
I also pulled information about the restaurants from the website of Noble 33 (see: https://www.noble33.com) :
Sparrow Italia: An Italian-inspired steakhouse offering a wide menu of fresh pastas, handcrafted pizzas, and classic Italian favorites. The restaurant embodies the European lifestyle and culinary tradition, creating an elegant atmosphere that pays tribute to the timeless values of Italian dining. Casa Madera: Inspired by both modern organic Mexican cuisine and the breezy bistros of the coast, this California fusion concept delivers an adventurous spirit that transcends the typical dining experience. Casa Madera serves dinner daily, offers a creative weekend brunch, and provides a dynamic venue for all occasions. (See: https://www.thecasamadera.com )

I extend my congratulations to everyone involved in this significant investment, especially my father and my twin brother Baran, and wish for many more successful ventures to come.
