In short, 2021 was a good year for me. It was a year that fueled growth and change, allowing me to gradually overcome challenges.
As a priority, we completed the sale of Moka in January. Despite all the negativity surrounding the situation, we sold Moka, in which I held a 65% stake, to İş Bankası. In an environment where the negative economic conditions, political instability, and the Covid-19 pandemic were making themselves felt in our bones with recurring waves, such an exit from an investment can be considered a ‘success.’ Moreover, despite the constant attempts to extort money from my partners at Moka, a significant burden on me, we managed to achieve this sale, even though it was very difficult. They unfairly extorted significant amounts from me, saying, “Give us this amount, or we won’t let you sell.” I know they won’t get away with this injustice, especially at such a time. I won’t go into detail now; they committed a series of disgraceful acts, and I put up with it due to the current circumstances. I focused on making this sale happen, no matter what. Finally, it happened, and it turned out well.
Another piece of good news came from our wind farm. While the construction of this wind farm had turned into an epic tragedy, it was brought back to life thanks to last-minute interventions. Recently, while speaking with an international wind turbine company, I described our project as follows: If we were to describe this project using a patient metaphor, the patient died, and we revived him with CPR and electric shock. This summarizes our experiences with this project, and you can find my articles below:

Developments are positive with our wind turbines.
The fourth and likely final article in this series is underway. I’ll share it with you in 2022. As a result, we entered 2021 with one of the turbines in this project malfunctioning and another not yet operational. In January, we brought the T2 turbine and its faulty equipment back into service from abroad, losing about a month in the process. We were able to commission the T1 turbine in February. However, due to an installation error, the busbar on that turbine burned about a month later, leaving us with almost no work in April. We replaced the busbar and commissioned the turbine. March wasn’t bad either, but these occasional malfunctions and shutdowns continued throughout the year, albeit at a decreasing rate. I say decreasing because they say the first year is the time when everything settles down in turbines; we experienced this firsthand. We continued to mend all the turbine’s problems throughout the year. These disruptions are normal for turbines that have been idle for extended periods. I can say that these disruptions had been minimized by the end of the year. Of course, when operating a wind farm, you need to be constantly on top of every issue and act proactively to prevent future problems before they even begin.
Wounds healed, bile released
This year was a year of healing the wounds of the economic crisis I experienced in previous years. Debt was significantly reduced. We strived to use our available resources in the most efficient way.

I left behind jobs that were a drain on me not only financially but also time-consuming and eroding my motivation. The Disaster Platform is one such example. What started off beautifully, a story of solidarity and coordination that achieved great success during the Elazığ and İzmir Earthquakes, turned into a nightmare for me. I witnessed incredible events and manipulations in this field, where I was the originator and spokesperson in the first term, and therefore dedicated significant time to it, and I was subjected to injustice. I won’t go into details because I want to put the past behind me. However, I will not forget the organized discrediting and betrayal of the person to whom I pledged my allegiance at TİDER, the founder of another institution, another person I honor everywhere as a long-time friend, whom I always protect and look after, and the directors and sympathizers of five or six NGOs who slandered me, who were capable of spouting all sorts of lies and deceit at their behest. They may have had their own personal weaknesses, and it’s my fault for not having identified them in advance and for dedicating so much effort to the Disaster Platform. However, from now on, I will be much more careful in my selection of people. I will work with individuals, institutions, and organizations that truly deserve my efforts.

From darkness to the ever-ascending light
When I began writing this article on 21 December, I remembered that this was also the darkest night. On this day, which we call the winter solstice, winter officially begins in the Northern Hemisphere. Those living north of the Equator will experience the shortest day of the year for 24 hours with the winter solstice. That’s why that day is known as the “shortest day,” “longest night,” or “darkest day.” Scientifically speaking, winter begins in the Northern Hemisphere on 21 December, as the North Pole is farthest from the Sun. However, after today, as the North Pole moves closer to the Sun, the days, which were once shortest, begin to lengthen again, and we begin to see more sunlight. May happiness be with us all.
21 December is a special day for the Turks, inherited from Shamanic culture. It’s practically New Year’s Eve for the Turks. I hope that the longest night evolving into brighter light each day will become the story of 2022 for me. It’s clear that for this story to come true, I must work harder than ever and take action to realize my vision without delay. In summary: – I’ve begun to let go of everything that’s been a burden, and I’ll complete this process.
– I will exercise my legal rights regarding some of the injustices done to me. I’m leaving the past behind, but I won’t let go of the injustices that were blatantly committed; there will be a reckoning here.
– I will minimize financial problems. My period of simultaneous release will begin.
– I will establish consistency and continuity in all areas of my life. Getting out of bed at the same time is one of them.
– There may be some developments in my personal life.

– I will begin to realize the work I’ve been dreaming of for many years.
In taking the opportunity through this post, I wish the Turkish people a happy winter solstice and my Christian friends a happy Christmas. I wish all my readers health, happiness, and success in 2022.
